7,000 SGI-Thailand Candidates Nationwide Sit for Beginning-Level Study Examination

7,000 SGI-Thailand members sit for beginning-level study exam on Nichiren Buddhism

On August 13, SGI-Thailand held a beginning-level study examination for 7,000 members at 50 venues across the country. The study material included basic Buddhist principles; portions of "On Persecutions Befalling the Sage" and "On Attaining Buddhahood in this Lifetime," two of Nichiren's writings; and the Nichiren Shoshu priesthood's current deviations from the founder's true spirit. Some examinees said studying for the exam enabled them to lay a foundation for a correct path in life. Others were able to refresh their determination to contribute to the SGI's activities to advance humanity's peace and happiness.
