SGI-Korea Women's Division Holds Commemorative Chorus Festival

On May 17, SGI-Korea women sponsored a national chorus festival at a center in Seoul to commemorate the 16th anniversary of both SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's visit to their country in September 1990 and May 21, SGI-Korea Women's Division Day. Five choruses active throughout the country gathered to perform SGI songs, classical pieces and Arirang, the best loved and renowned Korean folk song, of which hundreds of versions exist. Their harmonious melodies instilled hope and peace in the hearts of the listeners. Following a piano recital, renditions by soloists and a saxophone performance, SGI-Korea Women's Division Chief Shin Gye Soon gave words.
