SGI-Panama Hosts Dramatization of SGI President's The Snow Country Prince; SGI-Philippines Young Women Meet for Study Session
On May 17-20, 2006, SGI-Panama hosted a play for children at the SGI-Panama Culture Center in Panama. Representative youth members performed an original play based on SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's children's story, The Snow Country Prince, about a young boy and girl in a snow country fishing village who care for an injured swan while their sick father remains hospitalized in a distant town. Through their experience, the siblings learn to foster hope and compassion in their hearts. Some 2,000 attended the show, including many school children and teachers.
On May 27-28, 2006, SGI-Philippines young women in Manila held a study session at the SGI-Philippines Grand Culture Center in Tagaytay, Philippines. Participants studied portions of Nichiren's writings and The New Human Revolution, Daisaku Ikeda's novelized account of Soka Gakkai's history.
