Singapore Soka Association Holds Entrance and Intermediate-Level Study Examinations on Nichiren Buddhism

Exam candidates review study material

On March 12, some 2,100 Singapore Soka Association members, ranging in age from 15 to 85 years, sat for the Study Department entrance and intermediate-level examinations in Serangoon, northeastern Singapore. The exam was conducted in English and Chinese. The study material included Nichiren's life and "Letter from Sado" and "On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land" from Nichiren's writings. This year, some 110,000 SGI members in 37 countries and regions will voluntarily challenge their study of Nichiren Buddhism and participate in Study Department examinations.
