SGI-USA Celebrates Chinese New Year

On January 22, 2006, SGI-USA hosted a Lunar (Chinese) New Year celebration at the SGI-USA World Culture Center in Santa Monica, California, USA. Some 1,000 SGI-USA members, mainly of Asian ancestry, gathered together with their families and friends. Attractions included dances with a youthful beat, traditional Chinese Kung Fu performed by women, a dynamic taiko drum performance and a lion dance. SGI-USA Vice General Director Kazue Zaitsu and SGI-USA Advisor Guy McCloskey spoke.
