Institute of Oriental Philosophy Launches Japanese Web Site

The Institute of Oriental Philosophy (IOP), Hachioji City, Tokyo, recently launched a web site in Japanese. The web site introduces the institute's purpose, mission, activities and academic publications of IOP founder Daisaku Ikeda and research staff. The Lotus Sutra Manuscript Series, compilations of ancient Lotus Sutra fragments that have been published with the purpose of contributing to Buddhology, can be perused on the site. There is also a topical data base of selected research papers (in Japanese) from the Toyo gakujutsu kenkyu (Japanese version of The Journal of Oriental Studies) and the Toyo tetsugaku kenkyu jo kiyo (Bulletin of the Institute of Oriental Philosophy).

The web site's URL is: http://www.totetu.org [The English site, currently located at http://www.iop.or.jp/, is scheduled to be updated in the near future.].
