Soka Gakkai Holds Monthly Leaders' Meeting

SGI representatives from 60 countries attend

On November 2, Soka Gakkai held its monthly leaders' meeting, which commemorated November 18, Soka Gakkai's 75th anniversary. The meeting, coinciding with the 30th SGI General Meeting, took place at the Tokyo Makiguchi Memorial Hall in Hachioji, Tokyo. SGI President Daisaku Ikeda, Soka Gakkai President Einosuke Akiya, other executive leaders and some 250 members from 60 countries and regions attended. Representing the SGI countries, SGI-Greece General Director Dimitri Dimopoulos introduced SGI-Greece's history, beginning with Mr. Ikeda's first visit in 1962 and its subsequent growth. Mr. Akiya urged everyone to uphold the spirit to dedicate oneself for the people's sake, Soka Gakkai's proud legacy created by the first three Soka Gakkai presidents.
