Soka Gakkai Malaysia Opens New Center in Kuantan, Pahang

Local SGM members celebrate the opening of their new Pahang Center in Kuantan, Pahang State

Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) opened a new center in Kuantan, state capital of Pahang, Malaysia's largest state, located in the eastern coastal region. Some 500 attended the opening of the Pahang Center on August 21, including YB Dato' Maznah Mazlan, chair of the Pahang Arts, Tourism and Women's Affairs Committee. The ceremony began with traditional dances by local SGM members. Mr. Maznah stated that he is aware of SGM's peace and cultural movement and contributions to society and hoped the new center would become a hub of development in the community and society.
