Agriculture and Fishery Departments of Hokkaido, Aomori and Hiroshima Hold Renaissance Rallies

Soka Gakkai Agriculture and Fishery Departments of Hokkaido, Aomori and Hiroshima recently held "Renaissance Experience Rallies" in their respective areas. On March 19, Soka Gakkai farmers of Aomori met in Ajikasawa Town. Yoshimitsu Kimura shared his passion and dedication to cultivating the "ultimate" apple. Fishermen in Hokkaido held their rally on March 20. Several representatives reported on how they have managed to steer a steady course in the contemporary fishing industry. Isao Takada, president of the Uragawa Fishing Cooperative, said he was inspired by the the theme of the rally, "Food is Life." Hiroshima farmers and fishermen met on the same day on Edojima Island to share their innovations in their respective arenas. Edojima Mayor Kaoru Sone spoke.
