Supporting World Mental Health Day

Some 300 Singapore Soka Association (SSA) members helped to establish a new record Silver Ribbon Human Chain on October 2 at a Mental Wellness Carnival marking World Mental Health Day, held near Paya Lebar MRT station. The carnival, organized by Silver Ribbon Singapore, included two individuals suffering from mental health problems sharing how they had found ways to regain mental wellbeing and balance. The event also included exhibitions and cultural performances. MP Dr. Fatimah Lateef attended as guest of honor. The SSA Volunteers Group helped to pack about 1,000 goodie bags for participants as part of the preparations for the event.
