Youth from TSA, representatives from schools and cultural groups organized an array of performances ranging from dance, instrumental music, songs and folk arts. The SGI and Earth Charter International joint exhibition "Seeds of Hope: Visions of Sustainability, Steps Toward Change" was also shown. The festival also received support from various city and county government councils.

In addition, booths showcasing Taiwan's traditional crafts and culture were also on display and included activities such as calligraphy, puppet shows, wood sculpting and broom making. The police and firefighting departments also set up a booth to promote traffic safety as well as to educate people about how to respond in the face of an emergency such as a fire or an earthquake. Other booths offered storytelling, drawing, baking, educational scientific experiments, information on recycling and magic tricks.

TSA has been holding Community Friendship Culture Festivals since 1990 with the aim of forging friendship ties within the community and promoting peace, nonviolence, education and environmental awareness through exhibitions and seminars. TSA has been awarded the Excellent Community Organization award for 16 consecutive years.
