On February 12, Singapore Soka Association (SSA) members performed in the 2011 Chinese New Year Chingay Parade at Singapore's Marina Bay. S. R. Nathan, president of Singapore, attended the event.

Spearheading the procession was a dragon dance display consisting of a pair of 88-meter long dragons, manned by dancers from Xi'an, fChina.

This year marks SSA's 30th year of participating in the Chingay Parade. SSA's performance was titled "Animal Kingdom," expressing the harmony between humans and nature. Some 250 SSA members dressed as giraffes, zebras, trees, the fictional characters Tarzan and Jane and safari rangers. Floats featured elephants and the flora and fauna of a tropical safari. Wildlife Reserves Singapore supported the performance.

Some 200,000 attended the parade, while more than 100 million watched the spectacle via television or internet webcast, which streamed the event live in 20 countries.
