In celebration of European Heritage Days, SGI-Germany's Villa Sachsen Grand Culture Center in Bingen held an Open Day on September 11. The villa, designated an important historic and cultural monument in the city, attracted over 1,300 visitors. People were free to tour the inside of the building and attend a free concert given by SGI-Germany's Green Hill Orchestra, which performed music by Georges Bizet and part of an opera by Giuseppe Verdi together with 100 chorus members.

The event also included a talk by SGI members on the practice of Nichiren Buddhism. Activities for kids included origami art and patch-making.
