On January 22, SGI-Austria hosted a "Beethoven Festa" at the SGI-Austria Culture Center. Over 100 were treated to a piano concert of Ludwig van Beethoven's (1770-1827) works performed by various musicians and accompanied by dance. Pieces included Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," "Adelaide" and "Fidelio." The event included a talk on Beethoven's tumultuous life and great achievements.

Originally a mansion built by the Hapsburg dynasty in the mid-19th century known as the House of Elisabeth, since its opening in June 1995, the SGI-Austria Culture Center has hosted numerous cultural events, concerts and exhibits.
