"Victory Over Violence" Tours High Schools in USA with the International Committee of Artists for Peace

From April 30 to May 14 and from June 1-14, 2010, the International Committee of Artists for Peace (ICAP), in partnership with "Victory Over Violence," presented the musical "iChoose" at junior and senior high schools throughout New York and New Jersey, USA. With an aim of empowering youth to make positive choices to counteract violence, the production was shown at 21 schools. Approximately 20,000 students and teachers attended the performances.

José Torres, mayor of Paterson, New Jersey, commented that the musical highlighted the importance of inner transformation (human revolution) expounded by SGI President Daisaku Ikeda and SGI. New York City Council Member Christine C. Quinn also stated the musical reflected Mr. Ikeda's philosophy of humanism and hoped that it would be shown at all the schools in New York.
