During November, SGI-Togo youth, who make up more than half of the organization's membership, held a culture festival at the SGI-Togo Center in Lome. The event commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Soka Gakkai's founding and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of SGI-Togo. Among the performances was a traditional dance by SGI-Togo women.

Currently, SGI-Togo members meet once a month to study both the writings of Nichiren and SGI President Daisaku Ikeda, many of which focus on the work of Nichiren. Annual training sessions for the youth, where they are able to deepen their understanding of Nichiren Buddhism, provide opportunities for leadership development.
