SGI-New Zealand's Brass Band Holds Annual Concert

On May 30, 2010, SGI-New Zealand's Victorious March Brass Band held its eighth annual concert together with New Zealand's Manukau City Concert Band at the SGI-New Zealand Culture Center in Auckland. Approximately 380 attended.

The Victorious March Brass Band performed the "Alvamar Overture" by James Barnes. The Manukau City Concert Band performed a piece titled "Gallop" by Alfred Reed. The concert also included a combined choir performance by SGI-New Zealand members and residents of Manukau City.

The Manukau City Concert Band, a non-profit group comprising some 40 musicians from a wide range of abilities, ages, and cultural backgrounds living in or around Manukau, is committed to enhancing music appreciation in the community.
