In celebration of Heritage Day in Europe, SGI-Germany's Villa Sachsen Grand Culture Center in Bingen held an Open Day on September 12. The event attracted over 1,200 visitors.

Originally built in 1843, Villa Sachsen has changed ownership several times over the course of its 167-year history. It was renovated and re-opened by SGI-Germany in May 1997 and currently serves as a venue for art and cultural events in the local community.

This year marks the 14th year of Villa Sachsen's annual Open Day event. Festivities included performances by SGI-Germany's Green Hill Orchestra and Jazz Band. A talk was also given by an SGI representative on the Buddhist perspective of opening one's life or manifesting one's inner potential.
