Min-On Concert Association Hosts Chinese Acrobatics Troupe Performance

On February 25, 2010, the Min-On Concert Association hosted a performance of the China National Acrobatic Troupe at Act City in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.

Founded in 1950 under Premier Zhou Enlai, the China National Acrobatic Troupe is the first troupe of its kind created after the establishment of the People's Republic of China. To date, the group has performed in 115 countries and territories.

The troupe consists of several acrobatic and circus groups that specialize in aerial and magic acts, as well as dynamic balancing feats using bicycles, plates and cups. The troupe has won numerous awards at international acrobatics competitions.

Min-On last hosted a performance of the China Acrobatic Troupe in 2007, which commemorated the 35th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan.
