From April 29 to May 8, 2009, SGI-Korea and Yonhap News Agency cohosted the exhibition "Dialogue with Nature: Photographs by Daisaku Ikeda" at Daegu Exhibition and Convention Center in Daegu Metropolitan City, South Korea. The Korean Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Environment, Daegu Metropolitan City, Federation of Artistic Cultural Organizations of Korea (FACOK) and other organizations supported the event.

Local SGI-Korea representatives and some 200 guests attended the official opening on April 29, including Kyungpook National University (KNU) President Noh Dongil, Daegu's Vice Mayor for Political Affairs Nam Dong-kyoon, Yonhap News Agency Executive Director Kim Heung-Sik, and FACOK President Lee Soung-Rim.

In his remarks at the opening, KNU President Noh stated that when he viewed the photographs, he felt as if he was being embraced by nature and perceived Mr. Ikeda's messages for peace. He expressed his hope that many students and educators would be able to see such a wonderful photo exhibition.

Some 70,000 citizens visited the exhibition in Daegu, the ninth Korean city to host the exhibition.
