Iranian and Egyptian Ambassadors to Japan Meet with Soka Gakkai President Harada, Respectively
On July 24, 2008, Dr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan, met with Soka Gakkai President Minoru Harada at the Seikyo Press Building in Shinanomachi, Tokyo. Ambassador Araghchi expressed his hopes that the Soka Gakkai would continue in its efforts of promoting mutual understanding among humanity through interfaith dialogue and other peace initiatives. Mr. Harada responded that the SGI members throughout the world are dedicated to realizing lasting peace through heartfelt dialogue.
On July 25, Mr. Harada welcomed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Japan Dr. Walid Mahmoud Abdelnasser also at the Seikyo Press Building. They discussed the further promotion of bilateral cultural and educational exchanges. Ambassador Abdelnasser remarked on the solid bond of friendship between the SGI and Egypt and expressed his appreciation for SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's efforts at dialogue that advance peace and friendship among African countries. Mohamed Qadry, third secretary of the embassy, joined the meeting.
