SGI-Nepal Hosts Culture Festival

On January 5, 2008, SGI-Nepal hosted a culture festival at the SGI-Nepal Peace Center in Kathmandu, celebrating January 2, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's 80th birthday. Some 70 performers presented songs and dances for an audience of over 400 SGI members and their families, friends and local residents. SGI-Nepal Arts Division Chief Bijen Raj Shrestha remarked that in preparing for the festival, the participants were able to deepen trust, cooperation and friendship among themselves and in their communities.
