Soka Gakkai Malaysia and the Croatian Embassy Cosponsor Croatian Music

On November 22, 2007, the Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) Grand Culture Center (Wisma Kebudayaan), in Kuala Lumpur, was the venue for a Croatian music show starring tenor Giannni Stipanicev and soprano Barbara Othman along with the Croatian Radio and Television Tamburitza Orchestra. The audience was treated to classical, folk and pop songs and music such as "Merry Go Round" and "Pink Panther" accompanied by traditional Croatian instruments. Various tamburitzas, instruments similar to the mandolin and the Russian balalaika, highlighted the performance. Mr. Stipanicev's rendition of the famous Neapolitan song "O Sole Mio" particularly delighted the listeners.
