"Treasures of Japanese Art Exhibition" Opens in Curitiba, Paraná State, Brazil

Curitiba became the 27th city outside Japan with which the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum has conducted interCultural Activitiess

On August 24, the "Treasures of Japanese Art Exhibition," a display from the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum's (TFAM) private collection, opened at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Curitiba, Paraná State, Brazil. Paraná Governor Roberto Requião and State Secretary of Culture Vera Maria Haj Mussi Augusto were among the 300 guests in attendance. TFAM Director Mitsunari Noguchi gave a personal tour of the approximately 120 pieces that represent the heart and soul of Japanese art. The exhibition runs through November 19, 2006.
