Soka Gakkai Japan-China Youth Friendship Delegation Visit Shanghai City Hall

On July 21, Soka Gakkai Vice President Yoshiki Tanigawa, together with representatives of the Soka Gakkai Japan-China Youth Friendship Delegation, visited the Shanghai City Hall and met with Vice Mayor Yang Xiaodu. Mr. Yang called SGI President Daisaku Ikeda China's "old friend" and said there was much to learn from him. He hoped the Chinese and Japanese youth could inherit the baton of friendship from their predecessors and cooperate together to further strengthen bilateral exchanges. Mr. Tanigawa affirmed the Japanese youth's determination to foster juniors who will inherit the "golden bridge" of friendship. Shanghai Youth Federation chairman Ma Chunlei and All-China Youth Federation Deputy-Secretary General Wan Xuejun were also present.
