Soka Gakkai Delegates Visit National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan
On March 1, a Soka Gakkai delegation, headed by Hiromasa Ikeda, visited the National Palace Museum (NPM) in Tapei, Taiwan. NPM receives over 2 million visitors annually, making it one of the most popular museums worldwide. Speaking with museum representatives, Vice President Ikeda emphasized the exalted, universal values of culture and beauty that transcend time and national borders to link people around the globe. He expressed hopes to work together to further such human ties. In November 2004, NPM presented SGI President Daisaku Ikeda with its Light of Culture Award in recognition of his longstanding efforts to promote international Cultural Activitiess as well as SGI-Taiwan members' efforts to support cultural activities in Taiwan.
