SGI Soka Gakkai International
SGI's activities to promote awareness of human rights focus on respect for the equality and dignity of all people. SGI was a key contributor to the launching of the UN's World Programme for Human Rights Education in 2005. The exhibition "Toward a Century of Humanity: An Overview of Human Rights in Today's World" has been shown in 40 cities in eight countries since 1993 along with various parallel events.
In 2006, SGI collaborated with other NGOs to form the NGO Working Group on Human Rights Education & Learning in Geneva. The SGI representative to the UN in Geneva currently serves as chair of this group.
