SGI-Korea Men's Traditional Music Group Performs at Korean Music Festival

On October 23, 2007, Taegeuk Chitadae, SGI-Korea men's music group, specializing in traditional Korean music, participated in the 27th Korean Traditional Music Festival, at the Yeakdang Hall in the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts (NCKTPA) in Seoul. The 71 members of Taegeuk Chitadae performed at the festival's opening. Korea's first-class musicians also performed at the festival which ran from October 23-31. The NCKTPA is Korea's premier institute of traditional music, whose roots can be traced back to the 7th century. The organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional Korean music through performance, education and academic research.
