SGI-Hong Kong Women's Chorus Performs at Tenth Anniversary Celebration
On June 23, 2007, the SGI-Hong Kong women's Bai Lan (white orchid) Chorus performed during a tenth anniversary celebration of Hong Kong's reversion to China (July 1, 1997). Donald Tsang, chief executive of Hong Kong, was one of the official guests at the event held at the Hong Kong Coliseum. The Bai Lan Chorus sang "Below the Lion Rock," a song popular in Hong Kong, together with renowned singers Susanna Kwan and Kenny Bee. On June 30, the chorus also performed at a cultural event hosted by Yau Tsim Mong District Council at the King's Park Hockey Ground.
