At the invitation of the Chinese Culture University, Taiwan, Soka Gakkai representatives attended the university's commemorative events celebrating its 44th anniversary. On March 1, the "Gandhi, King, Ikeda: A Legacy of Building Peace," an exhibition introducing the human rights and peace activism of three 20th century leaders, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and Daisaku Ikeda, opened at CCU. SGI Vice President Hiromasa Ikeda participated in the ribbon-cutting with CCU Board of Regents Chair Chang Jen-hu, his wife CCU board member Mu Min-chu, CCU President Lee Tian-ren and SGI-Taiwan General Director Lin Chao. CCU Board Chair Chang and CCU administrators proposed the GKI exhibition as part of CCU's 44th anniversary events. Dr. Lawrence Edward Carter Sr., dean of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College, USA, the exhibition's creator and sponsor, sent a message. Chairman Chang and President Lee both spoke.
Following the exhibition opening, the Soka Gakkai delegation visited the Ikeda Research Center, which opened September 2003. Center Director and former CCU president Lin Tsai-mei reported on the status of current and future projects, including Chinese translations of Daisaku Ikeda's books such as his dialogues with former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev and American futurist Hazel Henderson.
On March 2, Mr. Hiromasa Ikeda received an honorary doctorate of literature from CCU.

| Soka Gakkai Delegates Visit National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan |

On March 1, a Soka Gakkai delegation, headed by Hiromasa Ikeda, visited the National Palace Museum (NPM) in Tapei, Taiwan. NPM receives over 2 million visitors annually, making it one of the most popular museums worldwide. Speaking with museum representatives, Vice President Ikeda emphasized the exalted, universal values of culture and beauty that transcend time and national borders to link people around the globe. He expressed hopes to work together to further such human ties. In November 2004, NPM presented SGI President Daisaku Ikeda with its Light of Culture Award in recognition of his longstanding efforts to promote international Cultural Activitiess as well as SGI-Taiwan members' efforts to support cultural activities in Taiwan.
