Art Exhibition by Renowned Chinese Painters Lai Ming and Wong Wing Yin Opens in Hong Kong
Lai Ming and Wong Wing Yin display Chinese paintings influenced by Master Gao Jian Fu (1879-1951)
"Cherry, Plum, Peach and Damson--Art Exhibition of Lai Ming and Wong Wing Yin" opened on June 9 at the SGI-Hong Kong Culture Center in Hong Kong. The show displayed some 160 works by Lai Ming and Wong Wing Yin, husband and wife and disciples of the great master of Chinese brush painting, Gao Jian Fu (1879-1951), as well as paintings by their two daughters. Attendees included Li Gui Kang, deputy director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong and Tang Hoi Chiu, curator at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. SGI President Daisaku Ikeda sent a congratulatory message. Mr. Tang commented that excellent works of art will cultivate people's minds and unite them with an eternal spirit. He lauded the SGI's cultural activities that enrich the hearts of citizens.
