| SGI-Poland Members Celebrate 16th Anniversary; SGI-Croatia Members Meet |

| SGI-Poland members in Krakow |
In January 2008, SGI-Poland members gathered at their respective locales to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the establishment of SGI-Poland Chapter. SGI-Poland Young Women's Leader Tsuruko Haga attended a meeting in Krakow on January 20. On February 16, a prayer service commemorating Nichiren's birth anniversary was held in Warsaw with SGI-Poland Women's Leader Maria Markiewicz. After the meeting, the members visited the nearby Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum.
From February 22-24, SGI-Poland West Poland District held a training course in Poznan. More than 40 members attended including SGI-Europe Executive Advisor Shoichi Hasegawa and SGI-Poland Chapter Leader Yoshiaki Ishizuka. Mr. Hasegawa encouraged the participants to courageously challenge and win over their difficulties with their practice of Nichiren Buddhism based on a profound sense of purpose.

| Discussion meeting in Zagreb, Croatia |
In Croatia, a discussion meeting was held in Zagreb on February 2. Among the participants was a member who traveled eight hours by bus and ship to attend the meeting and another member who came from the neighboring country of Slovenia. SGI-Europe Vice Chair Peter Kühn and SGI-Europe Women's Advisor Tsuruko Kühn attended and encouraged everyone to advance, leading lives of fulfillment and victory.
