SGI Delegation Presents Flowers in Tribute to Thailand's Late Princess Galyani

SGI delegation from Japan offering flowers in remembrance of the late Princess Galyani Vadhana of Thailand
On January 25, 2008, an SGI delegation from Japan offered flowers on behalf of the SGI and SGI President Daisaku Ikeda in tribute to the late Princess Galyani Vadhana (84), the sister of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, who passed away on January 2, 2008. The delegation headed by SGI General Director Yoshitaka Ohba and accompanied by SGI Women's Leader Kayoko Asano, Soka Gakkai Thailand (SGT) Executive Chair Somsak Likijariyanon and SGT General Director Somkiat Limrossukon, visited the Grand Palace in Bangkok to offer their condolences to the royal family.

Princess Galyani and Mr. Ikeda met on two occasions in Bangkok and Tokyo. In 1993, she received an honorary doctorate degree from Soka University, Japan.
