| SGI-Spain and SGI-Portugal Attend Summer Study Session |
On August 26, 2007, some 700 SGI members from the Iberian Peninsula attended a combined SGI-Spain and SGI-Portugal summer study session in Madrid, Spain. SGI Study Department Chief Katsuji Saito lectured on one of Nichiren's letters of encouragement to Shijo Kingo, a samurai retainer versed in medicine and a devout follower of Nichiren. Mr. Saito encouraged the participants to seize true happiness in this life based on strong prayer, tenacity of purpose and concrete action.
