On May 17-20, 2006, SGI-Panama hosted a play for children at the SGI-Panama Culture Center in Panama. Representative youth members performed an original play based on SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's children's story, The Snow Country Prince, about a young boy and girl in a snow country fishing village who care for an injured swan while their sick father remains hospitalized in a distant town. Through their experience, the siblings learn to foster hope and compassion in their hearts. Some 2,000 attended the show, including many school children and teachers.

On May 27-28, 2006, SGI-Philippines young women in Manila held a study session at the SGI-Philippines Grand Culture Center in Tagaytay, Philippines. Participants studied portions of Nichiren's writings and The New Human Revolution, Daisaku Ikeda's novelized account of Soka Gakkai's history.

| Soka Gakkai Agriculture and Fishery Departments of Okayama and Aichi Hold Renaissance Rallies |

On June 4, 2006, Soka Gakkai Agriculture and Fisheries Department members met in Okayama and Aichi, respectively. Okayama representatives hosted an experience rally in Misakicho, Kume-gun, which is one of 100 selected terraced rice fields of Japan. The three speakers were: Juntaro Kawamoto, who received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award for the quality of his eggplant; Kenji Shimada, rice farmer; and Nobuo Ikemune, owner of white peach and muscat orchards. In Aichi Prefecture, three representatives shared experiences of their efforts in farming and fishery in Taketoyocho, Chita-gun.
