| IOP Hosts Public Lecture by Professor Emeritus Tatsuo Morimoto of Meijo University |

On January 14, the Institute of Oriental Philosophy (IOP) hosted the third lecture in a series titled, "Indian Spiritualism and Today's World (tentative translation)," at the Kyoto International Community House, Kyoto City. Professor emeritus Tatsuo Morimoto of Meijo University in Aichi Prefecture, spoke on "Gandhi's Message to an Age of Chaos (tentative translation)." Introducing Gandhi's lifelong quest for truth, Lamenting a society mired in ever-escalating hatred and distrust that contributes to religious and ethnic conflicts, Professor Morimoto emphasized the importance of studying and practicing Gandhi's philosophy to establish peace and security in the present age.
