A Journey to Hiroshima, an animation adapted from SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's children's story of the same title, was aired on Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), Serbia's national TV station, on August 6, 2007, the anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and the first-ever use of nuclear weapons. RTS TV's Sinisa Aleksic commented that the children who viewed the program grew up in a tragic era, having lived through the collapse of the former Yugoslavia, the Bosnian civil war, the Kosovo Conflict and NATO bombings. He praised A Journey to Hiroshima as an excellent film that conveys the preciousness of peace and said, "Mr. Ikeda's story overflows with a lofty spirit that teaches children justice, respect for life, friendship and the heart to believe in oneself."
