The Soka Institute Amazon Environmental Research Center is situated near Manaus, Brazil, in the middle reaches of the Amazon River. The center carries out research pertaining to the conservation of the global ecosystem, preserves seeds of useful tree species in the Amazon and undertakes reforestation initiatives. In cooperation with Brazil’s National Institute of Amazonian Research, the center contributes to the development and promotion of knowledge building and environmental education programs.
